I like going to the bathhouse. In Russia, it’s a very big tradition. There are two in Moscow [that I go to]: One has been around for 135 years. And the second one is basically like a brick oven. They make it hot—all night long they put wood in the stove—and then the construction of the room itself is very different. You go upstairs and there is a wooden platform with gaps to let the steam through. Nowhere else in the world has anything like this—the temperature goes up to 110 degrees.  It’s so good for your skin…it’s not like a steam room, which is always the same temperature—there’s circulation, so the air is clean.

“If I let myself down, appear on stage when I’m not looking my best, it’s not fun for me. I just beat myself up about it.

Doutzen Kroes

I always take Vitamin C and then I have a routine of these three shakes every morning:
- When I wake up, I squeeze a lemon, grapefruit and an orange to make a juice for my husband, my son and I.
- Then I mix a green powder [Original Superfood Greens from Whole Foods], wheatgrass [The Power of Grass, Whole Foods], chia seeds and water shake. It's disgusting but you just have to drink it all at once.
- For my third shake I blend banana, chia seed, cacao beans, Camu and Maca oils.
I am always so stuffed after drinking them all one after the other. Then I go to work and have a normal breakfast.

Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese
Dita starts every morning with the Glowing Green Smoothie made of 70 per cent green foods – such as spinach, romaine lettuce, rocket, coriander and parsley – and 30 per cent fruit, such as pears, apples and bananas.

‘I've trained my body to enjoy things that are healthy. If you stop eating sugar, your body doesn't want sugar anymore’ she said.

‘I haven't had a soda in 15 years!’
‘I drink green smoothies with spinach, kale, and dark leafy greens mixed with fruit. Then something salady for lunch and then I can eat what I want at night. Ever since I stopped eating a big breakfast of eggs, toast and cereal, I feel so much better.’
Everyone asks me for the secret to good skin. Put down the cigarettes, slather on the sunscreen, get your beauty sleep, and drink your greens!

"I think that exfoliation is the key to beautiful skin, I really do. I use scrubing gloves every day in the shower. They just make you glow and get your blood flowing… Your skin is your biggest organ! It’s important to slough off dead cells all the time. For example, today I flew in on a red eye from L.A. and slept for four hours. So, I took a steam shower with essential oils and I scrubbed my skin, conditioned my hair, and I used the Clarisonic—just that gets your blood flowing. Your skin is flushed, awake, and alive. I’m a big believer in that type of thing. Like, if I had to go to a big event, a couple hours before, I’d take a crazy-hot bath with tons of salts and oils a few hours before. But I do more than that—I take a couple of baths a week where I use a whole box of epsom salts and either a bottle of hydrogen peroxide or a packet of baking soda. Equal parts salt and hydrogen peroxide. It makes you sweat all of the toxins out and all of the bad stuff. I learned about it from a hippie-natural-amazing pediatrician, actually, for when kids get sick."

"I love outdoor sports, like volleyball, and I play them whenever I can.
But my secret is that I watch TV maybe twice a year. I’m not a potato sack; I’ve never sat on my couch. If I’m home, I’m cleaning, feeding my dogs, doing stuff. Life is too precious to waste time."

I walk my dog for 40 minutes even if it means getting up at 5:30 in the morning because I want the stillness. I do all the things we were told as kids: I don't smoke or do drugs, I don't drink. It's not to be prissy; it's just that it's healthier for me."
